1/12 scale cars question
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, November 4, 2006 1:14 PM

I just recently picked up the Revell 1/12 scale 69 Camaro.  I love this model. Does anyone know if this is the start of a 1/12 line of American Muscle/Pony cars or a one time deal?

If your body is white then you have a 3rd release of an original 1988 tooling that was molded in orange and is a great kit in my opinion. therewere two others in the series, a 1957 Chevy and a 1967 Corvette. I wish they had done more subjects.

Yep,  it's molded in white.  I plan to paint this a different color than orange.  Thanks for the input on the other models.  I emailed Revell supporting this scale and gave the a list of cars I would like to see surface.  I'll keep my fingers crossed.  I did see a 1/12 scale Fararri at the store but I'm partial to American Muscle and Pony cars.

There's also a '65? Mustang 350GT that shows up on Ebay now and again.

They also did some foreign / exotics:

Ferrari 275, Ferrari F40, Ferrari Testarossa (80's version), Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing.

I'm hoping that Revell will re-release the 1/12 57 chevy soon.  A while back I think I remember a trans am but I don't remenber if it was 1/12 scale or 1/8.

Any rate,  I'm hoping that I'll see a lot of new kits coming out in 1/12 scale in the muscle car arena to go along with the Camaro I got.  I'm getting old now and thost little bitty 1/25 scale cars just don't cut it with me anymore.  I like the big scale.
