Enzo ?? for modelers in Japan-Help me J-Hulk!
Posted by wildwilliam on Thursday, September 11, 2003 10:19 AM
i saw on ebay today a "full-view" Enzo kit being sold from Japan.
the seller says:
"Tamiya does not sell full view version at hobby shop and Internet Web Site. In only exhibition/event show,we could get it.That's why this kit is very limited."

was wondering if J-Hulk or another modeler in Japan could say if this kit was actually more commonly available there and if it might come to US.

thanks,
ed.

Hi, Wildwilliam!

I'm off to Saipan for a week of beach and tanks, but I'll ask the Tamiya boys when I get back!
I'm vaguely familiar with that, though...seems like I've seen it...

much obliged J-Hulk!
because these things often turn out to be not quite as rare as the seller would have you think. :-)

That would be 'something else' displayed alongside the regular Tamiya Enzo.
Keep us posted and Good Luck. I can just see a fantastic 'technical' diorama there, dispalyed in a case (two cars - one complete, with doors open perhaps, and the clearview showing the detail).
WOW! - think about it.

Crasher,
i like the way you think!
i have the clear & regular versions of Tamiya's CLK-GTR (unbuilt at the moment)and was thinking about doing that.
i still have not purchased the standard Enzo, but my buddy has been rving about his. so i thought if i could track down a full view, i might briefly have the upper hand.
:-)

Well fellas, I got the straight poop from the boys at Tamiya World today.
It was a limited edition "event" kit, and there are no more.
It was 1/24, right? For some reason I was thinking it was 1/12. The guy thought I was nuts!

They do have a huge 1/12 Enzo, goes for about 300 bux US, but it's metal.

And there ya have it! Sorry it took so long.

Brian,
thanks!
i think i will have to 'settle' for the regular Enzo.
the rash of tracked vehicle purchases has put a crimp in my kit budget.
(as if there ever was a 'budget'. HA!

i doubt i will ever see that fullview go cheaply.
