Wanted! 1/16 Rail Dragster Rear Tires. Any Aftermarket sets?
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, February 3, 2007 3:05 PM

Does anybody know where to find aftermarket rear tires for the 1/16 line of front engined dragsters.  For that matter does anybody know if there's even such a thing?  I'd hate to buy another kit just for rear tires.  They aint cheap on ebay, but man they're sooo cool. Any leads is much appreciated.  Will pay if anybody's holdin.

Did you go to the Slixxx Decals site ? I have seen a number of accessories in 1/16 scale (resin parts and so on) but am not sure there were tyres among them.

Thank you all for coming José

Smile [:)] Hey guys,

I will be watching this!!!

i tried to find them several months ago to no avail.

I tried several aftermarket sites,Slixx among them and no good.

Some one said to try Revell and I sent an e-mail to customer service. The guy there said there were none there and he even went to the warehouse to look.

If some one has them, I need three sets to replace the ones on three built kits that the tires went bad.I will be happy to pay or trade some detail fitting lines and connectors for them..

Thanks for the slixx site, it had a lot of cool stuff despite not having 1/16 tires.  They've got rims so ya think they'd have tires.  I guess what I'll do is buy another kit and then do a little research in to rubber molding compounds and cast my own.  It looks like there's a market.

Well, it is another way of thinking, but did you notice that Micromark had a casting set to reproduce tyres ? And if I remember correctly, it seems that you could also use Alumilite products. It is an alternative. I think I'll explore those paths as soon as I find enough anima to work on the Heller Parisian bus, which tyres are "extraterrestrial".

Thank you all for coming José
