Mailman Was Good to Me Today...48 Chev Delivery
Posted by Model Grandpa on Monday, February 5, 2007 10:18 PM

Look at what the mailman dropped off today for me today.  Galaxie Limited's 1948 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery.  Looks like a very nicely done kit.  I must be living in a cave I had never even heard of this model company before I found this on (insert favorite online auction site here).  Now I have to clear time and space to actually build the kit.

Hi there, you wouldn't believe it but I am pretty sure I came across the same model last week in a local shop specialized in post stamps and all kind of other collectables. I did not buy it (yet?)

May I ask what you paid for it?

I just was at the shop I mentioned earlier and it is the very same kit! They are asking 25 Euro (about 32 US$) for it (being a vintage kit).

Are you interested in a second one? Obviously there will be shipping charges from Netherlands (Europe to you).

I have the same kit, Galaxie only makes a handful of kits but from what I've heard all are very nice.

I have been building mine into an ambulance, Jimmy Flintsone makes a resin Barnett ambulance and a hearse conversion. I have been very impressed by the quality, I only wish they made more kits.

BTW Galaxie is still in buisness

I'm think I'm going to give Galaxie Limited a call on Monday, Order the sedan and the 2 dragsters if they have them in stock...Smile [:)]

Happy Valentines day...too me!
