My Hot Rods
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, September 21, 2003 3:59 PM
Hi Guys/Gals,

I hope your Sunday is going well. Today was a beautiful day to get outside and take some pictures of my hot rods. I have been trying to put this gallery together for awhile but either I didn't have the ambition, or the weather was bad. Usually they overlapped each otherBig Smile [:D]. Anyway, heres all my Hot Rods that I have built over the last couple years as well as a few progress pics of kits on the build table. Link to all this fine mess is in my sig. Let me know what you think

Very nice. You must have some jealous neighbors with all those nice rods sitting in the driveway.

Big Smile [:D] If it were all real, I am sure I would.

Actually this morning while taking pictures, I got some pretty goofy looks from the neighbors. I suppose I looked pretty odd laying on the ground at 7am with my little toys!!

Nice set of pics. Your doing great. As for the 67 GTO it looks great to me. I'm not quite to car buff, so like most people would I think it still looks great. Besides classic Hotrods are like Harleys. No 2 are alike, and none are ever "stock".

The Firebird's paint is Model Master's Black & Purple Pearl. It turned out a little darker than I had hoped for. I was going to spray it with some Pearl Coat Gloss but I tried it on some scrap and didn't like the results. I have found that the Pearl Coat Gloss only looks right on light colored paints. It does add the pearl effect to dark paints but also makes it look a little milky.

Check out the progress page again. I got the new rebuilt motor installed and the body back together. I apologize about the blury detail pictures. You can make out the heater core hoses and purple sparkplug wires and a little bit of the battery detail.
