My Matchbox Metal Body Conversion...
Posted by klem on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 8:00 AM

I don't usually post here but since I figured out how to post pix I figured I would share.

This started out as a store bought sky blue civic from a localautoparts store. It had a nasty finish, nasty graphics and a nasty ground fx kit. I redid it my way! I sandblasted it( took 2 hrs. thay baked the paint on), shaved the door handles and molding with my dremel; blended the ground fx kit with the body; used flocking inside for fabric; I fashioned a nitrous bottle from an old aircraft bomb; repainted the interior as well as made a four point harness system; I repainted the engine to represent a B16 motor as well as decaled the hood with some Scalemotorsport carbon fiber decal sheet.  I noticed after I took the pix that I forgot to finish the grillSign - Oops [#oops]. I also sandblasted and repainted the rims, I hand drilled the disk brakes and custom mixed the body color with 3 different shades of red, a high gloss cote and future. Hope you all like. Thanks for lookin!
