That's one ride you pulled off, very neat. I too would like to see more pictures of it, especially on the changes you mentioned as I'm building one for my father who already got the '59.

For sure,  I will post a picture of the bottom and the front soon, keep tuned.  "Classic Collectible Auto" magazine has featured this car many times and the white/green interior car is there.  Low Rider also has many 59 and 60's but they are "slightly" modified.. Greg

Well, Niclas, I got the  pictures for you.  Not great quality yet but I'm getting there. Actually I kept breaking the windshield wipers off the 60 and finally took the time to drill and pin them with some bread wire.  The stuff that tiewraps are made of.  Then I painted the rubber on them and silvered up the hood scripts.  I also added a little surprise for the Corvette lovers.  These cars have been packed up since my move about 3 years ago so someone should see them except my wife..LOL and smiley.

I remember Hot Rodding around on cruise nights when I was little in my cousins '59.
The rearend got a bit loose as those wings lifted her a bit at high speeds.

I have those in my stash also. After seeing your work, I hope I can do mine justice.

Couple of questions -
What paint type did you use, enamel or acrylic?
Did you krome foil all the moldings or paint?
I haven't found any chrome paint that shiny LOL.

Thank's for the heads up on the chassie, will have to take care of that. Luckily I haven't painted that part yet, just started to putty, sand and smooth out the body of the '60. I thought of doing my pair the opposite way from you, white '59 and black '60. That black paint is a real stunner, such shine

This how the '59 turned out and hopefully I'll manage to get the other one as good too. I'm planning on giving my father all Impalas I can build. So far I've got the 59 done (his favourite), 58 half way, 64 half way and the 60 and 61 started.

The 58 and 64 in progress, tried something new on the 64. Made the floor out of a tissue instead of flocking it, looks really convincing.
