Fujimi used to make an Enthusiast Series of kits. They release a number of classic 911's. These had full engine detail. There were naturally aspirated and turbo versions. I can't remember how many they made but I do have them all unbuilt. You would probably be able buy one on ebay. They would be the best in terms of detail but I can't comment on build quality as I haven't got that far.

I checked ebay and these 5 Fujimi Enthusiast Porsches were available in America or Canada is that is of any help.

If you get a Fujimi one be aware that they made some curbside 911's as well i.e no engine details.

More on 911's ebay - I looked under Enthusiast. All 1/24 which is something I should have said before.

OK this is not a 911 as such, but this 959 is a very detailed model in 1/16 scale and yes, I have one unbuilt. If it goes for its opening price it will be a bargain.

Sorry I always do this. I remember something to add after I post and have to post a new reply.

The Fujimi 1/24 74 911Carrera RS 3.0 Enthusiast Model (the 5th in the second list)was the one that I had most difficulty in obtaining in the UK. Not a big fan of the colour on the box. Still that is no problem as the bodies are moulded in white plastic.

You won't do better than these models if you are after a detailed 911 in 1/24.

More detail of course for the 1/16 959.

No idea about this one - a 1/12 911 Turbo, very detailed I expect. I thought someone did a 1/12 model and this looks to be the one. Only 13 hours on the Auctions and at $66.99 it hasn't met its reserve. Expensive (???)...
