Curves of Steel
Posted by Neptune48 on Sunday, April 15, 2007 12:12 AM

Today at the Phoenix Art Museum I saw a temporary exhibit called Curves of Steel.  It featured 22 streamlined cars, mostly from the '30s, including a Cord, an Auburn, and a couple of extraordinary Delahayes.  They even had land-speed racer made from P-38 drop tank (not listed on the Website).

Absolutely fantasitc!  Paint finishes almost beyond belief!  Most of them looked like about 20 coats of hand-rubbed lacquer.

If you're in town, I highly recommend visiting this exhibit.  I think you'll be inspired.
