unusual question
Posted by Wulf on Monday, April 23, 2007 5:25 PM

I'm going to need to scratchbuild a rear window on a car. Not much curvature to it. Do they make/sell clear stock sheets? Or, how would I go about this? Any input would be appreciated..

You know how you buy products and they are in that clear hard plastic and you have to cut, pull and cuss to get the item out? That plastic isnt fun to open but makes decent glass for say 1/35. Never tried on a car but may work.

There is a great tutorial on BMC about creating windows from the plastic that Kcmat talked about and the best part is that the plastic is basically free.

I understand that the plastic from a discarded CD case is very good for this.
