Hi, I'm new here and I'd like to know if there are some 1:87 truck modellers to discuss with.

Welcome Barnaba! I am one of them. I have "specialized" (read limited) myself to 1/87 tankcontainer models. Honestly though, it has been a long time ago that I bougt one, I am now focussing on building models instead of collecting them.

Hi 1/72! And which models are you working at now?

I just finished a swap tank container 1/50 scale metal kit (by Tekno, a Dutch manufacturer) which I made as a gift for my colleague (the one on the grey colored chassis)

I am now trying to find inspiration to re-start a Peugeot 205 Rally 1/24 scale by Tamiya (old '85 kit). I need to shop for some detailing part like seat belts, plumbing, fabric for the seats etc.

And you? Do you build models or only collect them?

I only build 1/87 models. I use to modify existing models from Herpa or Kibri or scratch them.
Now I'm working at this (look at the picture). It's a truck crane from Fiat.

Your tanks containers look interesting, but I'm not experienced in 1/50 scale models. Which kind of work did you make?

Wow, you must be a very patient person with very good eyes if you can scratch build in 1/87 scale! The crane look very good! Will you fit it to a truck?

Building the tank container is almost same as building a plastic kit. You only need to make your own decals (there are no decals in the kit.

On the site of Tekno (webshop->modelkit-> second page at the bottom) you can find a picture of the unbuild kit

It is an old crane truck from '70s. Here are some shots.

I didn't know that Tekno makes kits: I thought they only made die-casts.

are you building the whole truck? You should post some pictures when you are finished. I am sure many people would like to see the result
