An FSM preview...

Well, that does look great. I'm practicing getting a good gloss right now on my Bugatti EB110. How much of your article is going to apply to airbrushing as well?

Nice one - I've always liked the Mk ll.
I'm in the process of turning my Tamiya Jaguar Mk ll into a Daimler 250V8 - the same bodyshell, but with a different engine, a 2.5 litre V8, made by Daimler/Jaguar using the same components but on a different assembly line.
I'm almost done with the Borg-Warner 65 transmission and have the block and the heads roughed out, as well as pressed steel wheels (not the wires) and the scalloped grill ready for final tweaking to make molds and cast copies.
I have the ultimate reference - a real one in my father-in-law's garage. His is a 1966 250V8.
It's a typical Tamiya kit - extremely easy to build and easy to make look good.

excellent paint job matthew, if only one could get results as easy as it is to read about how to do it. my rattle can paint jobs have come a long way though from reading up on it in scale auto. good job!!!!!

This upcoming article concentrates on painting with a spray can, but the basic application steps would be the same as the ones you'd use with an airbrush. The article should provide some help.
