Isn't that a bit to hot to put on an enamel paint job? I'm thinking of the thinner then.
Some people use future floor polish and that is an acrylic sort of clear coat that is very easy to apply. You could airbrush it but you could also just slap it on with a broad paint brush getting very good results as it levels out great. I've used it on some aircrafts but seen it on cars as well.
Another clear coat that is enamel safe is metalizer sealer from Modelmaster, but you will have to use an airbrush for that one. It dries in an instant and as far as I know won't yellow over time.
