Best putty?

The best purpose model putty hands down is squadron green putty!
The worst thin is its no longer available here in Australia, have to get it off the net, any shop with mail order will help you out.
Be careful with some Auto body repair Putty (Known as Bog!!) It can melt styrene!

I'm kind of partial to Dr. Micro Tool putty, but I don't know what countries it is available in.

I use regular-ol' Bondo brand glazing and spot putty. Looks, feels, and smells to me exactly like Model-Master putty. It's even in the same size tube.

I agree with using a catalyzed autobody putty, but a word of caution: most Scale Auto authors recommend using a respirator when you sand these putties, but they say nothing about the smell. These things STINK! I guess it should have been common sense, but I found out the hard way. Use it in a well ventilated area, and wear your respirator when you use it!

As far as Evercoat, your best bet is probably just to order it over the net. Do a Google for it, and you should find a site that sells it.

I use Elmer's Carpenter interior Wood Filler. It may be available in Denmark. It works quite well, doesn't shrink and excepts paint with no problems.

that which doesn't make us irate or irritated, has probably been thrown against the wall.

Try a body shop supply store and ask for "Wurth finishing filler" I know the Wurth brand is available there and they make an excellent two part fine grain filler for small scratches, etc. on 1/1 cars. The Wurth stuff comes out of Germany but is distributed worldwide. It comes in a tin.

Try it and you will never go back to an air dry type filler.

Tamiya makes putty. It's quite expensive, so it's probably not bad.

I dont know - I havent seen them, but I’ll try to search for them.
Is it modeling putty or is it for real-size cars?
Does it air-dry or cure with a hardener?
