                        I have seen a thread on another board about the quality of R + R resin kits, and the response was mixed. I am looking at the '68 Plymouth Sport Fury fast back as a possible project. I see some of his '68 Plymouths have opening hoods but this one looks sealed. Anyone have any experience with this resin caster, and this particular item? I would buy through a third party, not the actual  manufacturer, as he is apparently not big on mail order stuff.....is the '68 Plymouth based on the johan '68 Plymouths, or is this a separate casting all together. I have the Jo- Han '68 Plymouth police car, and also a '68 Sport Fury promo convertible project (cut open hood...'69 Charger donor for more detailed chassis and engine...original interior....fabricating windshield frame as original was smashed on promo).

                        I did get the '68 Sport Fury, so I guess I will judge the quality first hand....lol

                        I got the parts in and the quality is quite good. Straight body, minimal flash....looks like the Jo-Han promo kit was the source of the casting.

                        Well I guess you had to answer your own question, but for the future from what I've heard R&R really depends on what you get. Some are very nice some need a lot of work. Sounds like you got a good one. I've seen some nice R&R ambulance bodies built up.

                        I have never dealt with a resin kit before myself, but have been thinking seriously about getting one.  Over the years I've read ALOT of scale auto mags, with the resin reviews.  R&R From what I have been able to tell from reading, is overall a good manufacturer, but the quality of the castings gets a bit inconsistant at times.  R&R has been in business a LONG atime as far as the cottage industry goes.  I've got some scale auto's here that date back over 20 years.  One of these days I'll take some scans.
