To commemorate the last Labor Day Southern 500 I put together an album to honor the guys that started it all so many years ago. Here's mine and my friend's models of stock car racers when they were stock. At least they were closer to stock . LOL

Great work. Makes me kind of wish my granfather had stayed with nascar longer. But at least I can say that it all started around here where I live.

I have always wondered why they call it stock car racing when there is no way you could be allowed to drive those things down main street. Great models .

Well back in the older years at least the body was the same as what you could go buy at your local dealership.
