Ford Fusion in 1:24 or 1:25 scale

Looking for a kit of the Ford Fusion.  Does anyone make such a kit?

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately no.  I'm not a Ford fan, but this car looks good, and I would love to see it in kit form.  I think it would make a great basis for an allout custom job, either in scale or fullsize.  Alas it's not a very popular vehicle in 1:1, as far as the crowd goes, so I highly doubt it will ever be kitted.  If there is an appropriate base, one of the resin casters, might decide to do up a conversion kit for it, but unless a suitable platform is found(which I doubt will happen either), don't count on it.  As much as it pains me to say it I think will end up being one of those pipe dreams for a select few of us.  Although I think it would also make an excellent copcar.

Maybe I'll do some graphic work on an image to make it custom, or copcar.  Maybe if any of the manufacturers check this forum, they might get inspired.  Of course, if we can get enough interest, I would be happy to draft up a form letter that we could all print out, sign, and mail to the manufacturers, to show them that there IS a market for kits of everyday vehicles and not just the hopped up kiddy cars.

Well here are my edits based on tirerack.com images.

Customer

Copcar(nowhere near as nice as the custom, sorry, but it still makes a nice copcar)

It's a custom one instead of a policecar.  At least for now.

Thanks Michael,

This is what I want to build.  My uncle was the driver last week at Bonneville Salt Flats and went 207 mph in her.

That thing is SWEET!  Like I said I hate Fords(well when compared to other American makes, but not compared to jap brands, except Nissan), but I like the Fusion.  Has a good look to it, some great potential.

My guess (and only a guess) is that since the Fusion is being raced in Nascar, there will be a couple of Nascar based kits later this year/early next.

Good luck-sounds like a fun project to build your uncles car.

Thanks

I could use a NASCAR body, but the Hydrogen 999 used stock body panels with the exception of the front end.  It was closed off because they didn't need cooling.  I hope someone kits this car quickly.

 Another picture

Thanks again

Congrats to your uncle! What a great experience.

You might be able to get away with using a NASCAR body. You'd have to scribe some panel lines here or there, but it could work. If you want it SOON! then you could use a recent ford Taurus NASCAR.
