jezz, thanks much for the tips and the link. They are a huge help. I have bookmarked the link and will be placing my order soon. Looks like I'm in for a fun build. Thanks again! Thumbs Up [tup]

Looking at the results I can not believe this is your first model in years, it looks great!

It inspires me to get my current project ready.

Again, beautiful!

thanks for the comments the model is 12/th scale and if you are going to clear coat the ducati i would sugest theat you lay down the red first i recomend you get the ducati red from www.hiroboy.com as they are the best paints that i have used he is based in the uk and he can ship to you very quickly and they are prethinned ready for airbrush and then if you clear coat the fist coat then apply decals then clearcoat again you have enough clear coat to polish out to a high shine the fine green lines are the decals that come with the kit they are put on with decal solution microsol to soften them then microsol to shrink and conform to wheel they are a pain in the rear to do it is we woth the troble  hopr this helps you post some pictures when finished

Very nice work! I am really impressed with the gloss finish, and as I have recently purchased Tamiya's 1/12 Ducati Desmosedici, I payed careful attention to your post as to how you achieved such an amazing finish (I build primarily military subjects and have little experience with gloss paints). Now I can't wait to try it on mine. Thanks much for sharing!

Is your model 1/12 scale, and how would you rate the kit overall? Plus, I need to ask how you were able to so perfectly paint the thin green trim on the rims. Looks awesome!

here is my kawasaki zx-rr bike first model in years

bike has been painted with zero model paints from http://www.hiroboy.com/ as these are custom mix to order

bike with farring removed

once painted model was clear coated with tamiya clear and once dry model was flatted down with micro mesh and polished with autoglym car wax
