Where to find a Kodiac
Posted by ski4jeepin on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 12:35 PM

Hey there,

Does anyone know where to find a 1/24 Chevy Kodiac, similar to an ambulance? Any help is appreciated!

Which style are you looking for?

There was one in the 80's, kind of odd looking with a flat grill and the headlights were mounted low just above the bumper.

The 90's version (also known as the Top Kick) had a more conventional look, somewhat similar to the Ford F600-800 trucks.

Then you have the current Chevrolet / GMC C4500-6500 trucks with a rather futuristic look to them, also known as Top Kicks or Kodiaks.

The only one I know of is the 90's version and there are a couple options for those in resin, one is a hood you use with a Chevy pickup cab the other is a complete cab. I can dig up the info for the resin if that is what you want but I have a feeling you are looking for the current version since you mentioned an ambulance, the others were used for ambulances too but not nearly as much as the new ones seem to be.

Aaron,

Thanks for responding. I'm definitely looking for the 90's version. Certainly not the 80's style, all grill and fog lights for headlights!Dead [xx(]

Thanks again!

Perry's resin has a complete cab

Plaskit makes a hood that can be used with the cab from one of the 90's Chevy pickup kits. You have to email plaskit for a catalog plaskit_resin@yahoo.ca
