I usually do the truck, hood and the sides first. Then I do the window pillars and the roof. Take your time in between each step so you won't accidentially touch any of the decals you have applied. Let them set for a couple of days before you apply any gloss coat or wax to the model. Microsol and Microset any already mentioned are great.

I usually build aircraft, but I'm sure the same philosophy will work for you! When decaling, I always put the big decals on first. Some decals you've got to put on top of others, so I usually put those on quickly so I don't forget. I always use a setting solution. A bottle of Microset and Microsol will last you a loooong time! I used the setting solution on all decals. The key with decals is to go slow, get everything lined up, and don't get too frustrated. Another tip: Just dip the decal in the water for maybe 5 seconds, then lay it on a paper towel until it's ready to apply. holding the decal underwater until it moves washes all the glue off! Good luck, and be sure to post photos!

Help just building my first NASCAR. The decal sheet looks very scary. Any advice anyone has on how to proceed would be very helpfull. Where to start hood, roof etc. Do I use decal solution or because they are so big some of them do I need it?
