I got this on the 'bay and built it this past month. It's a ROG 1954 Mercedes 300 SLR. Very fun and different to build.

Looks good Ken.  Does the hood open on this one ?  Looks slightly ajar in the pics.

The hood does open and this is what it looks like. Note the big drum brakes:

The big competition at the time was the Jaguar which just introduced disk brakes.
