Just thought I'd show of one of my builds.
It's the Holman Moody '66 Ford Galaxie 500 driven by Fred Lorenzen back in the days.

Here's some pics...

Very nice build.  It shows a lot of time & attention to detail.

You've made a beautiful representation of one of my all time favorite stockers. Great choice of subject and great work!

VERY NICE build! I love these old stock cars. And dig the wheels/tires.. are they from the kit? Would love to get my hands on some like that. What kit is this?

Thanx for the cudos!
The wheels and tires are awesome IMO, and yes they are from the kit.

It's the AMT Ford Galaxie Hard Top, kit #6517

Stampede-are the decals from the kit or aftermarket?  and the other NASCAR related bits, i.e. engine components, roll cage, etc.?

I looked at the engine detail in the enlarged format-you've done a lot of extra work on the detailing.  I especially liked the engine oil dipstick-is that even visible to the naked eye?

Bob...
The decals are a Fred Cady aftermarket set. Unfortunately he's out of business as of December 2006. I found this company that hopefully still carries the decals, from another maunfacturer thou.

The dipstick is visible to the naked eye. I tried to put as much effort into the details as I could.
I'm attaching some more detail shots of #28...

Here's the scratch built squirrel cage, kinda blurry, on the floor behind the drivers seat. This is connected to the rear axle scratched built oil cooler visible in the previous pics.

Vent tubes coming out of the rear left tail light blank, and a quick release fastener on the trunk lid.

A close up of the same two items. The tubes/pipes are made of aluminum tubing bent to the correct shape. The quick release is made of a small punced out circle of aluminum tape and some thin aluminum wire bent to simulate the lock pin and clamp.

The radiator surge tank is a scratch built item along with the scratched oil cooler as you can see in the following pics.

The retaining straps for the rear window was made from Evergreen sheet 0.05

Again, thanx for the cudos on my work.
