Real Deal '64 Official VIDEO release!
Posted by jevries.com on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 12:16 PM

Hi there,

My name is Jevries, I'm not new to this forums but it's been a while since I've posted anyhting.
Here's a new creation I build together with Ryan from http://www.scalelows.com/ It's a 1/24 scale Revell '64 Impala Lowrider that is basically a crossover between a static detailled model car and an RC car.
It features a four corner working suspension all radio controlled using the original suspension parts. All the working parts are hidden inside and details like engine, interior and trunk are all there.
I'm working hard right now to have my website updated and soon it will have the complete story on this ride with videos and all. For now enjoy the pictures and when your interested in working lowrider model cars please visit my website: http://www.jevries.com/

Finally it's here the official video release of Real Deal '64!
It's a short video clip but filled with lot's of footage I hope you enjoy!

Hey Jevries, I've been looking at your site for awhile now, but I thought you abandoned it.  EVerything seemed to have stopped, and you dissappeared.  My favorite rig of yours is the blue S-10.  Would love to see a complete buildup sequence on that, or a copy.  Would love to know how you did it all.  I have half of it figured out, but some details escape me.  I had a gutted Ford Focus that I turned into a 4 wheel hopper, I could get the whole thing to bounce about 4 or 5 inches off the hood of my real truck.  Used your pages and cars as a guide.  Also did a Hotwheels one as well.

Anyway glad to see you back around.  Stay with us this time.

Yeah, for a while it seemed that way I didn't have enough time and inspiration to get things going. Just recently I changed the look of my website and included some tech stuff. I'm working on a story on the 1/64 big body cadillac hopefully that will be done before christmas.
I have shot 5 DV tapes on creating a beddancer like the Blue S-10 Chevy who knows someday I will compile a DVD out of it.Wink [;)]

Well if you ever need a hand with compiling the stuff and scuh or workibng on the site let me know.  Be glad to help.  Just to see you still up and running.

You know I also have an idea that might be cool.  With the addition of a small and cheap microcontroller, it would be trivial to hook one up to a computer, and run a program for a specific sequence.  Might be kind of interesting to try.  The programming would be easy too.
