Here's the El Camino I built for a review for FSM's sister publication Scale Auto. Cars aren't my usual thing, but I really liked this model. Won't be using black again soon. Even after polishing, it seems like there is a film over the paint. Bad mojo! When I got it done, I sat there looking at the big open bed and decided it needed a load. The tires and wheels are the optional parts from the kit. All comments welcome.

Enjoy!

I think the black paint looks really good. What type of car polish did you use? Perhaps a car wax would build up a better layer of gloss on the surface. Did you use Future on the glass areas of the model ?

Looks good.

Ralph,

I did dip the glass in Future. Actually, I used Tamiya polishing compound on the paint over Tamiya gloss black and clear coat from the spray can range. It just never seemed to rub out completely.

Aaron,

I like it a lot! I've always had a soft spot for the El Caminos, and yours looks pretty good to me.

Regards,

-Drew
