66 Ford Fairlane 500 WIP.

I've had these kits for some time and I'm finally getting around to working on them. I used to own several of these cars. All total I've had 2 Two 500's and four Four door 500's All are gone now, but I still remember what fun they were to drive and would love to own one again. I'm working on two at a time and may do a diorama of the two cars that I actually owned, along side my garage.

One the one of the left I inverted the spidle to drop the front end and will raise the rear end by adding a piece of stock between the rear spring connector and the frame to give it that "Tail Lights in the Sky" look. I bondoed the hood to cover the GT-GTA "intakes" as that's what my cars looked like. I was never lucky enough to own a GTA, or GT model of this car.

On the one on the right I have some kind of mold problem I've never seen. I painted the body with flat white and after removing ot from the box I noticed the mold. I soaked it bleech and it's still there.....???

I'm going with a three toned paint job on this and wanted to show the progress. I'm going to go with white, gold and red for the exterior and will maintain the original interior colors. I took the wheels and rims off of a Corvette and will probably be adding to the thickness of the rear tires.
