yea i gave up on the stretched sprue. Never could get it to be the same thickness and took many tries to get one without breaking it. I've got some stuff called brite wire from walmart that works good and can be curved and what not. How did you scratchbuild the base in case I have to take that route.

sahickerson- I think i have already passed the qt. and have only worked on the body so far.

Hey Chris the reason I asked is I have scratch built some antenas using a base and thin wire(not stranded) leader for antennas for a Bronco Rescue Vehicle I did number of years ago...looks rather good lil more realistic than stretched sprue(which Ive done before also.). Just a thought.

Some fit probs but not to bad, only about a quart of filler used instead of the usual gallon.

metal head, thanks I'll drop you an email.

Chris- there is no antenna either, but I have some wire that I use on armor instead of good ol stretched sprue that I think will work pretty good and I think I have some antenna bases in the parts box that might work all though they may be a bit out of scale, have'nt checked yet.

sahickerson- did yours have alot of fit problems or did I just get lucky and picked a real winner.

Did the kit include a whip(antenna)? If not what are you planning on using?

Thanks guys , i found a few at a bandit club site. Not to many good shots though. So far this has been a real pain of a kit, don't know if anyine else has built it but there is alot of filling and sanding with body and some parts don't even come close to matching up and so far I have yet to find a C.B. for it. Now how can they market it as a Bandit's car and have no C.B. That's almost as bad as making a tank kit with no barrell.

All the bandit car was a regular T/A... There are tons of pics on the net of the interior... Also try some auto mags, there is a mag that deals with olds, pontiac, and buick, there are always shots of interiors in there... in the meantime, i'll see if i can get my hands on a few.....

Ill look around....you may want to try this...find out who built the cars for the movie and see if they have a webpage...Yes I realize the movie was made some time ago however...they like many other companies have modern technology now and might have pictures if they have a gallery.

OK I have googled and yahooed and can not come up with any decent pics of the TA from the movie. Do any of y'all have an idea of where I can find some good reference pics particular interiour shots. Even though me and buddy were in the process of restoring one in our teens , I just can't remember to much about it ( like I said we were teenagers which is probally why it never got done to ). I would like to get this kit looking great to give to him and try to bring back some of those lost memories. Thanks.
