bumblebee camaro from a revell kit?

I'm not sure what changes need to be made. They look pretty similar to me.

Cool! I think the fun part about the '77 Camaro Bumblebee will be modeling the primer-covered parts of the body, and the rust. [:D ]

I was looking at this myself since I have the same kit.  I tcan be done but there is some work involved.  You to change the hood for one, but that hood is available from the AM.  Also Bumblebee had the version with metal chrome plated bumpers, which may or may not be available from the aftermarket.  I seem to recall some being available but don't remember who.  You would have to do the plating yourself I imagine, but that'd be easy with some BMF.  You also need 2 sets of wheels.  The cragars are easy enough to find, but the slotted mags are a bit tougher.  I know the slotted mags were in one of the '55 Chevy street machine kits.  The one with the whole thing jacked up gasser style.  You will need a 3 spoke steering wheel
(available everywhere) and some misc interior stuff, and making some of your own decals and tghat's about it.  Aside from the engine that is.  You can get close on the engine with stuff from detail master but the intake stuff you are pretty much gonna have to scratchbuild or do some heavy modification.  So you can do all that or glue the hood closed.  One of the best ways to find pics of the engine is to do a google image search for Megan Fox.  This way also has the advantage of you get to look at that little cutey, while looking at that foxy Megan too.  LOL

The primer and rust spots are easy too.  I think it might be a good idea if I do some kind of tutorial on that in the near future.  Only issue is I don't wanna do that too any of my models so
I'll have to use a junker probably.

yes my only corcern are the mag wheels which is hard to find..are those 55 chevys street machine model kits too? maybe i can find some on ebay..is it a common kit? thanks for all the help

whats the differnce between the 3 in 1 kit from revell from the revell monogram one?

The 55 Chevy kits were fairly common.  I found them alot at Fred Meyers(Known to most others as Kroger, Kroger bought out Fred Meyer).  I'll have to dig through my stuff, I might have a pair of the slotted mags in question laying around.  I could probably use them, but I could also part with them just as easily.

As stated the only differnce between any 70 1/2 Camaro and 81 are the front and rear end treatments. The Revell kit has the enduro covered bumpers and will not work.

You could look for an AMT kit called AMTTop. This is a 76/77 Camaro and will give you all you need and something you don't T-Tops. It probably would be easy to fill em in. I do not think that kit has ever been re-issued though. I have had one built up as a Rally Sport for almost 30 years!

ive seen the kit and your right..the front and rear of the car do seem more smilar to the movie bumblebee than the 79 one..this is great advice indeed..how about the wheels of this old AMT kit? does it resemble the bumblebee camaro?
