Have a Revell ((Fujimi) GT 40 with a few problems.

Just got a monogram GT40 kit on ebay and it was supposed to be complete.  The Instructions, photoetched parts and the hood or maybe its called something else) are missing.  Since the D-bag isn't responding to my emails I think I have to find this stuff on my own.

  1. Anybody have instructions that I can get a copy of?
  2. Who makes good photoetch for this kit?
  3. Does someone make a resin hood or whatever it's called (front deck lid)?

Scode-sorry to read of your misfortune.  I'm always a little nervous whenever I purchase something on eBay.

Try this link for instructions:

http://www.1999.co.jp/search_e.asp?Typ1_c=102&scope=0&scope2=0&itkey=gt40&kensaku=Search&urikire=1

Click on one of the kits and most of the time, the instructions are available.  Sometimes not, but I did view them for one of the Gulf GT40's shown.

As far as photoetch, try www.mshobbies.com

Good luck with the missing plastic part.

Again, sorry for your misfortune.

Bob

Thanks for the links!

I guess that I've been lucky so far with over 500 transactions and all of them turned out well.

Bummer on the bid man.  I usually like to see photo's of the contents before I buy.  Only one I got on e-bay had anything missing, and that was the wheels on a Nissan Mid4.  I found some other wheels for it, and was building it but something happened to the kit and it got turned over to the scrap heap.  :(

Is the Revell kit a rebox of the Fujimi kit? I have several of the Fujimi kits and one of the original issue Revell kits as of yet unopened.
