Need a couple of R34 Skyline parts, can anyone help?
Posted by fantacmet on Thursday, March 20, 2008 3:10 PM

I have the Tamiya Z-Tune R34 Skyline, and a couple of parts have come up missing, and I'm wondering if anyone can help me out.  The first one is the little pod type thing that sits on the top of the dashboard in the center, it's part of the dash, I can get the part number a bit later.

The other part I need is the rear wing.  I have tghe wing mounts and they are glued on and the model is painted so filling the holes and going without isn't an option.  I would prefer the factory Z-Tune wing, but there are many many other wings that would look good on this car.

I'm a bit short on cash to say the least, with the new baby and all.  So I'm having to build from my stash.  I just hope I don't run out of paint or glue.  LOL.

I can get the kit number and part numbers a little bit later.

I've been waiting for alot longer then 8 weeks already.  This thing has been on hold for a good 6-8 months because of these parts.

Go to scaleautomag.com and register there. Just about every car imaginable has a thread on there, and there's a better chance of finding someone who can help you out over there than on here.
At the end of the day one's work may be completed but one's education never!

Can you send me a PM first?  for the life of me this is the first board I can't figure out how to SEND a PM, only reply to them.

Much appreciated.  I also have ths stock plated wheels for that sitting here I'm not gonna use, so if you need an extra set let me know.

I don't any spare tires that will fit on them to allow me to use them for something else, I'm not too worried about it though, can't think of anything I would use them on anyway.

Also if you need any modern US stowage, I've made molds of a couple of the stowage items from Trumpeters Stryker kit.  They take VERY little resin.  I've cast a bunch already and haven't even used a quarter of the resin I have, and I bought the smallest containers available.  So I got plenty.  I'm out of mold compound though.  So I can't make molds of the rest of the stuff.  I'll post some pics of the stowage I do have molds for.

Somenewguy, I appreciate the suggestion of the Scale Auto Website, but I'm not allowed over there, me and Haught don't see eye to eye.  Since I don't follow his views on absolutely everything, I'm not allowed on the site.  You have to agree with him 100% to be allowed there.  Last time he banned me for copyright infringement, when I took some photo's of 3 20 some odd year old Scale Auto Issues, and posted them over there.  He doesn't understand the meaning of the word copyright and has never bothered to look it up obviously.  For one showing pictures like that is for the purpose of blast from the past falls under fair use, and for anoter I posted it on their site.  Oh well.  I've already comp[lained to Kalmbach about him many times, along with about 300 other people, but Kalmbach doesn't care.  They'd rather let him run the magazine into the ground.  Since's he's taken over as editor, and since the forum, their mag sales have dropped by 80%.
