Resto car models

Hello everyone

Simply love this site .First post...ever ! I recently got involved in trying to restore car models, You know... the ones whose "paint jobs" are horrible ,whose "interiors" are covered in glue ,whose "wheels" and "windows" are "missing"!!!. I 've purchased several of them on E-bay for practically "nothing".. I'm talking about "70's" muscle cars ,hot rods etc... Strip them down to the "bare plastic" and start the whole assembly process again just to see if I can bring them back to life .It kind of makes me feel like I'm actually in a real "restoration busness" that does the same thing "Chip Foose' or the late "Boyd Coddington" do !!!I was wondering if anyone knows of a forum on this site or on the Net, where I might be able to get some ideas and tricks for that particular end of our hobby?

Write to scale auto magazine, and tell them you would like to know which back issues covered this subject, and then order those back issues.  This will do a world of good in this subject.  I have had some of those back issues and I have missed some, but they are great.  One of those back issues was from this last year.  Juha Airio did a great job restoring that old GTX.  Juha does alot of restorations.
