1937 Cord Convertible (Lindberg)

This kit's not as crappy as people say it is.  I consider it to be a blank canvas.  The details are soft, but workable, with some scratch building.  The 17 piece body went together very well and precisely.  (I was really impressed.)  The only real problem was the front and rear bumpers and the mounts.  They had to be re-worked to look okay, but not perfect.  The engine was wired and plumbed.  Scratch built inside and outside door handles, window cranks, outside rear view mirror, and tail lights.  Parts box fog lights, windshield wipers, and tires.  Refinished in PPG lacquers, clear coated with DuPont urethane clear.

Very Nice Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup] ! You did wonders with this kit.  Did you Flock the Seat & Door Panels or are they painted ? If you had a outside background I would swear this was real. Thanks for Sharing.

Great looking calssic!  The paint looks very period and it's applied very well. I can just see some famous 1940's actor or actress driving up to the gate of MGM studios. It also has very nice detail under the hood and on the dash. You took a good model and made it outstanding.

Has anyone built the Monogram version? How does it compare to the Lindberg?
