Wish i could help but I build mostly late model race cars and none of them are usually American made. I use Stradasports.com for most of my stuff. He has tons of goodies and might have something that might get you started and if you email him hes really cool and helpful he could know of places. You can ask your question here..... http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=927 they have a Sub forum for hot rods and all of these guys are very helpful

Yes there are but it depends on what you want. There are resin transkits to make 2 doors into 4 doors, wagons, or alternate years. Pre-wired distributors, aftermarket wheels, complete motors etc.

Here are a couple to get you started, if you tell me what types of cars you want to build I can try to track down more specific sites.

Star Models carries a couple of resin lines as well as some parts

Detail master carries a ton of stuff pe, turned metal parts etc

Model Round up is a good online shop that just does auto stuff.

I would like to add that detail master carries products from other companies as well such as model car garage, which has PE detail sets like you can get for aircraft and armor.
