I took several photos of both cars today, and it was a fight from the get go. Buth think it's done. Will have to lighten them up a bit as I didn't use a fill flash. I'm also going to divide them into two folders as they are two different cars, and one of the setups is not quite factory stock. I should have them done tonight.
There was a question about the correct color of the engines, and I ran that by my brother.
* all six pacs are painted hemi orange; no matter what year they're built. BUT: there was a very small few built with the aqua colored motors in 1970 (very, very few)
*most all 375 hp. 440's in 1969 & 1970 were hemi orange (single four barrel)
*all 1969 and later automatic transmission cars used a different linkage setup than 1968 and earlier. The kickdown rod is shorter due to engine placement, and has a ball crank mounted on the right side of the intake almost above the bell housing.
* not all six pac cars had the fiberglass hood as you'll see in the photos. Only the Roadrunner, and Super Bee did.
* lastly ( not to ruin anybody's day): the cars were shipped with a Mopar branded battery that had Mopar molded in the sides of the battery case.
so basicly all raised block performance engines are painted orange (note the 350hp 440 is still aqua). Many race cars were shipped with Baldwin high pressure oil filters that are an orange color, but a few of them were also white with green lettering. All 383's were painted aqua.
