Thanks for this tip. I'm searching for your tutorial as soon as I post this. I really need some help, because I cannot paint dashboardsto look like anything but a mess.

I recommend that you buy the Testors decal making kit and print your own instrument faces. Go to a gage manufacturer's website (Stewart-Warner for example), copy the images you need into MS Word, use Word to resize them to the proper size and then print onto decal paper. It's easy to learn and somewhere on this site I posted a mini-tutorial on how to print decals without using up whole sheets of decal film. That was a while back but I'm sure you can find it if you search.

Thanks for the tip, fox. I have heard the "Detail Masters" name before, but my oldtimers got in the way and I couldn't remember it when I needed it.

Thanks again.

I just used Detail Masters gauges and one of their steering wheels in my '53 Chevy Street Rod. I know they have NASCAR window nets, all types of gauges, and taillight details. Check out their web site. The entire build for the '53 is in the '50's Group Build. The steering wheel was my first attempt at PE and to my suprise it worked great and looks good. Check around on the forum for more info. The guys use a lot of good stuff and usually post where they came from. Hope my limited knowledge helped you a little. Good luck.

Gauges & interior pieces

Does anyone know of a source for instrument faces and other interior pieces for 1/24- 1/25 scale auto models? I am trying to get away from painting the instruments since I can't seem to make them look worth a crap.

Thanks

Carl
