Tamiya Porsche 911 GT3 Pictures
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, November 2, 2003 4:59 PM
This is my first attempt at photographing and posting model pics. I'm no Pixilater as you can see. Someday I hope too have the proper equipment and know how to do this properly. This is actually a very good model, these pictures do not do it justice.

How bout a engine shot.
I am working on a gt-1 evo.
I picked Tamiya ts-56 "brilliant orange" for my body.
Looking for ideas for the inside.

Looks good from where I'm sitting. Any way we could get a few that are closer up? Kinda hard to see all ofthe work you put into it from that far back.

Thanks for the kind words guys. With out a decent camera I'm afraid I can't do any better than these. Christmas is coming, maybe Santa has a digital camera in mind.

The interior is semigloss black with gray carpeting in the rear area. Tamiya provides a self adhesive backed carpet material that you cut out and install, It looks very convincing when done...you'll have to take my word for it.

The black trim around the windows was masked off with 3M Fineline tape and brushed on with semigloss black. I never thought to use painted foil, is that a product I can find at the hobby shop?

The kit only provides engine details that can be seen from underneath. I was kind of disapponited about that at first. Then I realised as I was building it that there would be no way to see it anyways.

Great pictures of your kitchen. What's that little yellow thing in the middle of the pic? J/K!

Looks good, the black molding really sets it off. Close ups would be nice though. Do you have a camcorder? My digital camera stinks for close ups, but my camcorder works great. So, I hook my camcorder up to my PC through an i-link card and use Microsoft Movie Maker to snap pics with my camcorder. I can even control the camcorder through the PC if I want to. Check in to it, just in case Santa doesn't bring that digital camera with a good macro setting on it.

LOL, thats pretty funny...sad but true! I have to be honest though, I was with you right up until camcorder. After that it was all kind of gobblety gook. I would be embarrased to tell you how long it took me to put those photos up. I'm more of a mechanical person by nature. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll try to decipher it.

idontknow, whereabouts you located in VA.? I moved from Manassas, VA. last year.

Darren,

I'm in Christiansburg, which is 30 miles south of Roanoke (other end of the state).

If you have any questions about hooking up your camcording to you PC e-mail me and I'll do my best to help you get started.
