Hello, I'm new to this forum, and rather than post up a bunch of stuff, I figured I'd just post my Photobucket URL. Check it out if you'de like, I build a variety of subjects. Let me know what you think.

Guys thanks for the kind words.

Jon, the wheels are from Fugimi and I have no idea if they are still made, the model is 18 years old. Geez, that makes me.......40. Ack!

Jim, I can help you get a nice even paint job easy enough, but to tell the truth I'm still learning myself. I don't use an airbrush- yet. I use Duplicolor lacquers spray cans exclusively (no Tamiya available in my area) and they are super easy to use, in a wide variety of colors. As for opening doors, no I don't. I'm not a compedative builder aside from online contests and CBP's, these are just nice display models that I enjoy. I have hinged a couple doors before. The roof hatch of the Gunslinger 57 Chevy and the rear door of the 40 Panel is gullwinged. I don't mind doing that, but the whole process of creating door jambs and what not, is just a lot of hastle to me.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Just a quick question Jantrix. What primer do you use under the Duplicolor lacquersQuestion [?]

I always use Duplicolor primer. I've heard that Krylon works just fine under the lacquers, but I just like to be sure. It's more expensive, but I really like the way the Duplicolor nozzles lay down. They spray in a vertical fan shape rather than a cone like old style nozzles. I think it lays down smoother and covers better.

Thanks Rob. I'm just starting an OLD '51 Buick LeSabre that I resurrected from my old, old, kits box. Plan to build as a futuristic custom. I go by a hardware store fairly often that carries those paints. Will pick them up on my next pass. Thanks again for the info.

Any time Jim. The best selection I have found for Duplicolor is Pep Boys, at least near me. Let me know how it works out for ya.
