My first model since getting back into the hobby!
Posted by RMC_Birdgunner on Friday, June 27, 2008 10:36 PM

Hi Everyone,

I would like to share the first model I completed since getting back into the hobby last fall. It is of a 1969 Camaro SS which I completed last April. I know that there are alot of things that I still have to learn, like wiring the engine and what not, but I am glad to have gotten this first built under my belt. Alot of firsts too. First time using Future for a clear coat, first time using an airbrush (a Badger 200 that I got for X-Mas).

Not limiting myself to just cars, although I have a rather large stash now, I have been working on my first armour for the last couple of months. A Leopard 1A4 that I am dressing up to look like a Leopard C1. I will post a WIP in the armour thread.

Anyway, please have a look and offer any suggestions/critisizms that can help me improve.

Cheers,

Denis

I think you have a great build there. The detailing will become second nature, but there is a learning curve, so don't to go all out on your next one, try adding a wired distributor on the next one and apply a wash to wheels and grill. A custom vanity plate (Google Acme license plates, it's free) would be a great addition. Some Bare Metal Foil also.

Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Jantrix, it's funny you mention Acme License plates, I have them bookmarked already. As for applying a wash for the grill and wheels I just read about that in the latest FSM and plan to try it on the next build. I might even apply it to the wheels on this build. I guess they never are complete. LOL
