Nice work!  What did you use to paint the board?  Are there any decals for this part?  Also, I wasn't aware that Tamiya clear red was available in spray.

I've heard good things about the zero paints as well but since I don't have an airbrush I went with the Tamiya rattle cans.

Ive just picked this kit up to have a go at. I've gone for zero paints F2007 colour as i've had good reports on their other paints.

After weeks and weeks I finally got my hands on some Tamiya clear red and here's a teaser of the results. Hopefully get some work done to finish this up in a week or two.

F1Champ - are you going for the clear-red-over-gold suggestion for the colour? Seems like it...Let me know how it turns out - at this stage I'm leaning towards the Tameo suggestion on my Tameo F2007. But haven't aquired any of the paint yet - still some way off even starting the kit! So I'm open for suggestions... It seems like the most debated colour, taking over from the McLaren M**Bro red!

I've done a couple of the Revells a while ago and agree fully - if you're used to Tamiya, these do assemble in a very different way! And I still can't get used to the scale.

Good luck, will be watching you progress.

Undertray with the board painted

Body primed and waiting to get a coat of gold

That's it for now hope to get most of it done within the next three weeks before I move apartments.

I wish Tamiya still did F1 models (Revell F2007 build)

So I purchased the model a while back and haven't been on these boards in about two years but I thought I'd share my progress on the F2007 from Revell.

First off the kit isn't all that great with the wheels being offset incorrectly and some parts coming together in very odd places leaving a ton to be filled in with body filler. On top of all that I've taken the liberty to chop apart a few of the parts in order to try and make the car look more smooth with less gaps in the pieces that wouldn't be possible if I built the kit according to Revell's instructions. Hopefully the kit will come out somewhat decent but I still wish Tamiya were coming out with recent kits so that there are more options besides a 200$ MFH or S27 kit.

And now the good stuff some pix.

The offset that I corrected on the front wheels

My hack job to redesign the construction

Finished rear suspension and tires (not going to do any detail on the engine as it won't ever be seen)
