Scratchbuilding conversion ships and motoryachts from whats on sale today

 How many of you have seen ,say a 38' GRAND BANKS motor yacht and said ,"I wish someone would make a model of that" .Why don,t you ?? I have always said that LINDBERG,S line of models leaves you with a whole plethora of modification as starts . The SHRIMP BOAT and the COAST GUARD CUTTER open up a lot of doors for conversion to various types of motoryachts . The MINESWEEPEWR and the L.C.V.P. also leave the door open to a lot of mods. NOW the BISMARK and others can be converted to what if ? type ships ,Including cruise ships!!! The reason I chose LINDBERG is some of their models are dated ,but ,not impossible to scale up ( Correct and Accurize ) The fun is in seeing what else this ship or boat can become . The L.S.T. and L.S.M.s I have converted to postww2 inter island transports and cargo carriers . That IS what happened to a lot of the vessels left in the pacific after the war. So stretch your thinking the next time you see a LINDBERG model new or used .The company,s products give an excellent ground for thr fertile imagination of a scratchbuilder ..     tankerbuilder
