Steel Navy Scratch build
Posted by TimQuinlan on Friday, May 15, 2009 8:55 AM

Hi, my name is Tim Quinlan.  I am currently working on the long term project of scratch building one unit of each class of ship in the US Navy at the time of the Spanish American War.  I am building all these models in 1/96th scale.  The larger ships (which I am starting with) are R/C.  I have currently completed the USS Maine, and USS Brooklyn.  These models can be viewed online at the Steel Navy website.  I am currently working on the USS Iowa and the USS Olympia.  I would appreciate any communication, especially from folks who share my interest in this time period.  I would like to included some pictures of my Iowa under construction, but I can't figure out how to paste images into the post.  Suggestions?
