The year is 2085 the moon has been the home of a thriving mining operation for 30 years. The workers live in several domed communities surrounding the mines, the company Lunar Mining Inc. provides transportation for employees only. Miners and support staff must provide transportation for families and personal possessions. This has led to a booming space craft rental operation based on the U-Haul space station in earth orbit.
I got the idea for this project from the Colonial Movers ship in Battlestar Galatica the cargo box is made from two model car display cases. The main engines are paper towel tubes covered in sheet plastic, the docking engine in the back is from an old lighted makeup mirror. There are lights in the engines and cockpit I made the cab from a Revell 1/24 scale Vostok space ship. I added parts from the Revell 1/72 scale space shuttle and my spares box. The dude in the rented space suit is a 1/24 scale astronaut figure from New Ware. I was going for an old beat up and covered with moon dust look.

Thanks everybody, I did send them some pictures they said if I sent them some better pics they would put them in the magazine.
Good news, the owner of my local hobby shop (Toys Forever Models & Hobbies) Brandon has a friend that is a professional photrapher. He is going to take some pictures of the model to send to FSM magazine.
Here are some of the new pics.

Nice Job!
What did you use for the UHAUL graphics, are they homemade decals?

Thanks for the comments folks. I found the graphics on the UHAUL web page, printed them on on card stock paper glued them to the model and sprayed clear flat paint over them.
You know you can post the picture in the thread...then we don't have to go off site to see them. Use the insert media icon in the toolbar and simply place your image link there and click insert.

You know as soon as I saw the title, I knew immediately. I saw it in the shop's display case the last time I stopped in on my way home from campus. I keep meaning to drag my mom in to see it when she's up here, but never seem to get a chance. I really need to stop in and see what else Brandon has foil-wise, so I can mix it up for a NMF 'Bolt.

Very nice work !
Kinda like the Space 1999 crew hitches a ride with the Battlestar Galactica fleet.
It could be the start of a new series of scratch-built vehicles and will certainly send us back to the spare parts bin to see what can be scrounged.
