Has anyone ordered direct from Plastruct or Evergreen?
Posted by rivercat on Saturday, November 28, 2009 8:00 PM

All I want is PS sheet, strip, rod, and tubing.

At plastruct.com I get thousands of returns when searching.

At evergreenscalemodels.com I cant tell if they sell direct.

I'm assuming prices would not be any cheaper at online hobby stores (right?).

Has anyone tried to order as a wholesaler?

I hope I'm going about this in the right way; the process is so daunting.

Good Day!!!

I called the phone number listed on the Evergreen web site. The lady i spoke with took my name and address and she sent me a small catalog and some order forms. I haven't placed an order yet, but will  soon.

I have no idea about prices from other sources.

Because I only scratchbuild I buy from Plastruct all the time. They usually ship very quickly and my order is always right. I find it's easier to look things up in the printed catalog and use the part number to order online.

HI-rivercat:  You can buy DIRECT from EVERGREEN. I use their products almost  exclusively in scratchbuilding.I don,t have a problem with PLASTRUCT as far as what they have.My problem is their product at times has NOT been compatible with the glues I use .They released styrene fairly recently(Last ten yearsor so) still the same problem. So I stay with EVERGREEN. I know a model shop in ATLANTA and they too ,use EVERGREEN exclusively. They will sell direct, but the savings come with large orders so if it is NOT a large project, get it at your L.H.S. I am sure they would appreciate the business.Good luck on whichever you choose.      tankerbuilder
