RTimmer

Just curious... what prompted you to work in brass as opposed to other materials?

Cheers, Rick

Dear Rick,
I've always built my models with
similar materials like the originals.
Obviously
working steel  is very complicated, while the brass is easier to cut and weld.
This model has no moving parts because it is too small only 4,5 cm, while my other models have mechanisms fully functional as the original, but they are in scale 1 / 16.

If you like, can see other models like two guns antitank Pak40 and Skoda 149/13 in my gallery in

Absolutely incredible - a thing of beauty.  It is particularly evident in the unpainted mode, but I understand what you say about it not really being done until the paint and weathering is there.  The wheels especially caught my eye - the craftsmanship is just outstanding.

Just curious... what prompted you to work in brass as opposed to other materials?

Cheers, Rick

brilliant work...although I like the un-painted brass better. So shiny.

Yes, I know... many friends said me the same thing, bu for me models are'n completed whithout paint and weathering.

After Skoda howitzer and antitank gun Pak40 in 1/16 scale, I like to show you my last model, this little italian  tankette in 1/72 scale.

Total lenght 4,5 cm, 3 months of work.

Model is all in brass, tracks in lead and brass and plastic rivets.
