Last year (?) History Channel had a series looking at various WW2 campaigns that involved Canadian units. (I think the name of the series was "FOR KING AND COUNTRY", though it's not listed anymore - on YouTube? Everything else is!) One of the programs followed the Canadian infantry/armour drive up from Sicily & included some info on these emplacements that I had never really heard about before, a nasty surprise indeed.
I'm not sure I'd want to be IN one of these turrets either though, you're in a steel box in a field that can't move...
Interesting diorama possibilities though, make sure to post some pics as you get into it.
