A good hobby shop carries styrene selections. Two more common brands are:

Plastruct & Evergreen

Figure out the basic size and shapes you will need for this added detail before you hit the store. 'L' 'H' and '[' shapes as they are common for structural beams.

There is a few feature write-ups on super detailed aircraft carriers in previous issues of FSM that will help.

If you want to use a US supplier, Micro Mark sells fairly large sheets of it in several thicknesses. It is in their regular catalog.

HI: Although I do agree with DON ,I still exclusively use EVERGREEN.I find they are consistant in the quality and the actual thicknesses of their material. I bought some from another supplierNOT PLASTRUCT, and I found that a sheet of .060 was .058 in one spot and .062 in another. This definitely NOT work. If you write EVERGREEN. SORRY , I don,t have the address handy, they will send you a product and price list in one neat little booklet. I would suggest that you buy their book "WORKING WITH STYRENE" it has tips I find helpful even after twenty years or more of using their product. When you do the hangar deck remember to keep the deck "perfectly flat" and use plenty of support. You don,t want this assembly to weaken the hull in a very sensitive area. Warping can be a problem so make sure your decking doesn,t bind ANYWHERE inside the hull. you could wind up with a slightly out of true ship. I have seen this at shows so be forewarned. build your support structure in the hull seperate from the deck and then just slip it in. good luck and lets see some pictures if you can.    tankerbuilder
