Great looking model! It's always nice to see something different for a change.

Huh, I'm mainly into WW II-present subjects, but even I find this interesting. I'll follow this, and mabe I'll try to build one, some day....

I printed copies of the wing on some buff paper, coated the inside of a 2-litre Pepsi bottle with spray adhesive and laminated it on the inside (the curve was just right for this wing). Then I sprayed it with Dullcoat and cut it out with scissors. The result was a very thin but very tough wing panel and I think it looks like clear doped linen.

Excellent scratchbuild! What did you cover the wings with, it looks like paper of some kind?

This month is the 100 Anniversary of Art Hartman's flight. He was the first Iowan to fly an airplane in the state. Art built the plane just from after seeing pictures of a Bleriot.

Frame work from .030 X .030 styrene strip. Rigging is 2# test fishing line. Engine came from parts of an 'O' gauge air compressor. Prop is a re-worked from a Piper Cub. Wicker seat made from brass mesh. PE spoked wheel from Tom;s Model Works.
