Thanks for the link. I'm honestly not that big of a Google fan, but I guess it's worth another shot.

I think the "exploded" drawings will be most helpful with the build.

Now, should I start with the buisness end of the muzzle, and work my way back, or should I do it the other way?Huh?

Google > Images > Garand M1

It helps to keep at Google and continually narrow your search.

I'll try Google, but I never had any real luck with them before. (I was trying to find scrapyards in my local area, and Google brought back everything that had to do with "Scrap" and "Yard" but no scrapyards) Still, it's worth a shot.

Since any material can be used, I think I may use real wood and metal, for that extra touch of realism. I've done it before, with some 1/6 scale models of demolition explosives. It worked out good, being very realistic (short of using accual explosives, thankfully.)

These days you can find reference material on just about anything.  Google Images can be your friend.

Ditto for construction materials:  anything can be used.

Good luck.

   Alright, that should be fairly easy. My father has a majority of the wepons in his colection that I want to try and scratchbuild first (like the M-1 Grand) so refrenceing that will be easy. However, for an SMG or a machine-gun, that will be tough.

All I need now is the construction materials, and I'll try to get started (hopefully)

1.  Assemble your reference materials;

2.  Assemble your construction materials;

3.  Get your tools together;

4.  Have at it.

Scratchbuilding weapons isn't any different than scratchbuilding anything else.

1/6 scale wepons?

 By any chance, is there anyone out there who knows how to scratchbuild 1/6 scale rifles, machine-guns, SMGs, and other wepons? I am a collector of 1/6 scale action figures (G.I.Joe mainly) and I would like to try my hand at building some wepons. ANy help would be greatly appretiated.
