modifications to a kit
Posted by DrBoompa on Saturday, October 30, 2010 3:41 PM

I am brand new to this forum and am looking for a place to dialogue with members about a kit conversion.  Not a complete scratchbuuild but converting a miltary B-17 to a civilian airliner.  Is the place for this?  If not, please direct me.

thank you

Aircraft forum is probably your best bet. Plus a lot more people go there as opposed to this one.

It's a category on this main site. Log on to the FSM site then post in the aircraft forum. I'll bet you get a response from Swanny or one of the other followers of that site.

The aircraft forum may be better for details of the prototype, but this is a good forum for the construction and materials info for the actual scratched parts. Many of the projects discussed on this forum are not total scratch, but scratchbuilding of alternate details or major subassemblies.
