Wirraway

Don,  a famous aircraft in my neck of the woods.  I grew up on this story.  My parents walked to the wreck many times.  Nothing left now, all picked over by daytrippers.

Yep, that's the model.  And look at all those cowl bumps!

Please keep us posted, Don.  I'm very interested to see how you build it.

I saw one of these when I was a kit, maybe around 1980, at Bowman Field in Louisville, KY.  They were giving rides.  It was absolutely beautiful.  I remember seeing curtains and plush seats through the windows.

Started the Stinson Model A project.  Here are a couple of shots of the fuselage start.

The slot along the passenger cabin of the fuselage is for something I am going to try, to have windows.  I will be covering the sides with a sheet of clear acrylic that I should be able to fair into the fuselage okay.  This is a 1:72 project.
