Sheet Styrene Static

Hey gents,

I've bought a few 4' by 8' sheets of various thickness over time.

First thing I do is Taze the pets. Then the varmints don't infect the pristine sheet with their varmint residue.

But as suggested above, a mildly damp cloth or 'bouncy' sheet helps.

Mind you, cuttin' those 4*8 bassiges' down is harder'n keepin the 'snack' fluff off'n em!...

By the time I'm using stock from sheet, I'm already into Workplace Hazardous Material Information System Operational Procedures, i.e., water spray handy, Kim Towels, masks, etc.

Nothin' like coughin' up styrene dust guys.

Makes the cat's hair-balls look like breakfast.

Remember that stuff you used to spray vinyl records with to eliminate dust (which would wear out the grooves).  Or am I the only one who remembers vinyl records?  Water does work, but that spray was even better for preventing static returning.  I have a lot of troubles with static in the winter here in Minnesota, and it has been a VERRRY dry winter this year!

What I usually do is this . I lay out the sheets I am going to use . I then wipe them all down with a non-scented handi-wipe type cloth .Works every time .       tankerbuilder

Wipe with a damp paper towel or cloth before use.  Nothing like a little moisture to negate static charge.
